The brother of idiosyncratic Finnish film-maker Aki Kaurismäki directs this unashamedly ‘feel-good’ comedy drama. A professional chef, Cheng, travels with his young son to a remote village in Finland to connect with an old Finnish friend he once met in Shanghai. When no-one seems to have heard of the man, Cheng starts to help in the local failing diner and wins over the villagers with his ‘foreign food’.
