A group of French-Canadian friends are re-united at the bedside of the terminally ill Remy, thanks to the machinations of his filthy-rich son. Denys Arcand's comedy - Best Foreign Language film at the 2004 Oscars - is dark and nostalgic, but nevertheless witty and optimistic.
