Set in rural Ireland in 1981, the film tells the story of Cáit, a 9-year-old girl from a dysfunctional family, who goes to live with foster parents for the summer. In the care of the couple, Cáit blossoms, but in this house, where there are meant to be no secrets, she discovers one.
